Diesel Truck Diagnostic Tools was founded in 2016 with a straightforward goal: put OEM-level diagnostic capability into the hands of every working technician, regardless of whether they operate out of a dealership or an independent shop.

At the time, the diagnostic tool market was broken. Dealerships had powerful, manufacturer-specific tools that cost tens of thousands of dollars per brand. Independent shops were left piecing together cheap code readers that could pull fault codes but could not perform active tests, calibrations, or forced regens. If you worked on multiple brands — and most independents do — you were looking at a wall of expensive, single-purpose hardware just to stay competitive.

We saw Jaltest as the answer to that problem. Cojali, the Spanish manufacturer behind Jaltest, had built the most comprehensive multi-brand diagnostic platform in the world, covering commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, marine engines, construction machinery, and material handling equipment on a single interface. We became one of the earliest authorized Jaltest dealers in the United States and have been selling, supporting, and standing behind the platform ever since.
